Community Communication Ltd was formed in 2004 by John Dunwell. John had spent his career until this point in social care and youth & community work but, facing redundancy in rural North Yorkshire in his mid-40’s, he made the decision to start his own business in an industry that had been a great interest to him – printing.
So John started a digital print and copy business in Bedale, an enterprise which developed to incorporate office supplies and promotional merchandise.
It was here that he developed a passion for Marketing, particularly as it applied to small business owners. He joined the Chartered Institute of Marketing to develop his knowledge and gain qualifications.
In 2013, John left the print shop premises to concentrate on, and build his expertise in, promotional products. He also joined the British Promotional Merchandise Association (bpma). This is your assurance that Community Communication Ltd has been vetted by the bpma and abides by their code of conduct.
Why the name Community Communication? It reflects the roots of the founder but also indicates the intention of communicating effectively with your chosen community, be that a geographical, business/industry or interest group. And our Three Wiser Monkeys logo aims to illustrate better communication by careful listening to, seeing and passing on of our messages.
